And, she's eating less and less. Not in quantity, but in variety.
My only hope is that at some point she will understand negotiations and bribery and I can say things like "eat 2 bites of this and you can have a cookie" or whatever. Until then, I am doing all I can to keep her nourished and not starving. This is what I have to work with:
FRUIT
Bananas
Blueberries
Strawberries
Grapes
Peaches
VEGETABLES
Zero
Zip
Nada
No Way
BREADS
Cinnamon swirl bread
Donuts
She will eat a Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich every 7th time I offer it to her. I'm not joking. She refuses 6 times but eats it happily on the 7th.
Pancakes
MEAT
Chicken nuggets
DAIRY
Yogurt
Milk
SNACKS
Crackers
Cheerios
Crunchies (Cheeto-like stuff made by Gerber)
Cereal bars
French fries
Apple sauce
THINGS I WISH THAT SHE ATE
Turkey
Cheese
Macaroni & Cheese (seriously HOW IS SHE MY CHILD)
Pizza (WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER)
Eggs
Sweet potatoes
Potatoes
Green beans
Oatmeal
Tortillas
Peas
Carrots
Grilled chicken
Pasta of any kind
Tomato sauce
Ham
So, basically, I feed her the same foods on rotation and yes, I have tried whatever you are going to suggest. Lately we have gotten her to drink some V8 Fusion juice. Also, there is a YoBaby yogurt that has sweet potatoes at the bottom (gross) and she will eat that. Baby steps, people.
Hoping that some of this changes in the not-so-distant future. Oh please.
Toddlers are so picky!! Cambry used to not eat ANY veggies. I felt like I was majorly failing. Greg and I decided we should just give up and that we would try to do better with Lainey. But now Cambry is up to 3 veggies (green beans, cucumbers, and edamame). On her own terms of course. And she just recently started eating oatmeal. So there is hope that Ellie's tastes may change!
ReplyDeleteHarv is the same way! he won't hardly eat anything except fruits! I still freak out and he's 3. It drives me insane! somehow, he has survived! haha
